Replaced 10 of these and the light generated was the exact same with each bulb. Also priced well.
They work well. Put out a very nice light. But like all led-based bulbs, they only dim so far before they just turn off. Unlike incandescents that dim all the way down. This isn't a con it's just how the technology works. I would buy these again.
Our ceiling fans have attached light fixtures. I had previously replaced the 60W incandescent bulbs with equivalent LED bulbs, but they extended beyond the shade and looked awkward. I ordered these because they were smaller and would recess into the shade for a better appearance. I swapped 6 bulbs in the 2 parallel fixtures. Unfortunately, that didn't work well.The lights have been controlled by a high-end Leviton DHC dimmer since we built this house in 2003. That dimmer includes a neutral connection, and has worked flawlessly. Apparently there is some interaction with these bulbs that cause the dimmer to turn back on dimly after turning fully off. And when fully on, they pulse on and off in a several second cycle, as can be seen in the video. The fix was to swap one of the original LED bulbs into each fixture. I put them facing the window so not to be obvious. While the remaining bulbs now turn off completely, and remain on at max brightness, several flickered slightly at max brightness. Swapping in spares I found a set that worked fine over the full dimmer range with no flickering.These bulbs work fine with no flickering when installed in another fixture controlled by a standard on/off light switch. The color is similar to incandescent, and brightness appears to be a little less than from a 60W incandescent bulb.
These bulbs work great in my 4" recessed cans, of which my house has many! They match the look of incandescent bulbs, at least when they're at full brightness. They dim quite well too, but as with all LED bulbs, they don't dim as far down as incandescent ones do before shutting off completely. But that's still a worthwhile tradeoff with as long as they should last, and how little energy they use in comparison!
