I put this through the wringer and it came out fine. The yard flooded and it was shining under water. It's waterproof.When I looked in the light later on, no leaking and the light is still shining. No vapor inside.The light is nice and bright and fairly white as is usual with these.Easy to connect to your light circuit if you want.The cowl over the window helps direct the light.Finish seems durable.Hopefully you will find this honest review helpful in some way. A 5 Watt MR 16 LED bulb (included) with a 3000 K warm white rating pushes light upward through the open half of the light cover and directly into the beacon fixture where it is gently refracted and diffused with the majority of the light now focused on a 90° angle toward the object or objects to be highlighted.Changing the bulb is a relatively easy task accomplished by loosening the five slotted screws holding the brass lid to the main body of the fixture to reveal the bulb. I am replacing an old light that's been in the ground for many years. It has a dull yellow-ish light and needs to be replaced. This umStory Brass Well Lights Landscape LED is the perfect replacement. First, the materials are excellent. The top is a heavy brass piece, with a nicely patina'd finish that fits in with my garden. The screws are all stainless steel to keep the rust away.The plastic shell is touch and sealed. There's a glass lens that is heat resistant set into the brass top. There's a 72" cord (that's sealed into the enclosure) so you may be able to run this all the way to your transformer without splicing additional 18 gauge wire to it. In Southern California, we used to have very dry conditions all the time, but this year we have had one rain storm after another, so this in-ground light is perfect for our increasingly wet conditions. I am very happy to have this new lights in our yard.

I've been picking up several LumStory lights and every one I've found to be of exceptional quality. They feel heavier than many others I've used, so they are definitely a quality casting of solid brass, which I like. One thing I've noted previously with other models and I'll comment again here is that the use of slotted silver stainless screws is a bit odd - for both the reason of the colour mismatch and the fact that slotted screws are so fifty years ago! It's an M6 thread though, so easy to remedy with black or bronze stainless screws, which is what I've done. These are excellent lights though, and I highly recommend!
